Elçin Afacan is a theater, TV series, and film actress, born on January 21, 1991, in Istanbul. She made her big debut in 2019 with the character of “Beste Güneş” in the series ‘Bir Aile Hikayesi-A Family Story’, which was broadcast on FOX, gaining wide recognition among audiences.
After completing her education at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University State Conservatory, she first experienced the excitement of the camera with her performance in the competition program called ‘Our Mission Comedy’ broadcast on FOX in 2016.
Following the competition, she had her first series experience by portraying the character named “Gülçin” in the series ‘Içerde’, which aired on Show TV the same year.
Later, she appeared in the series ‘Deli Gönül’ in 2017, playing the role of a schoolgirl alongside Murat Ünalmış, Tuvana Türkay, and Ayşe Çiğdem Batur.
Afacan gained attention when she gained 20 pounds for her role in ‘Bir Aile Hikayesi-A Family Story’. She later managed to shed most of the weight.
She portrayed the character of “Melek Yücel (Melo)” in the series ‘Sen Çal Kapımı-You Knock on My Door’, which aired on FOX between 2020 and 2021, marking another significant milestone in her career. The series gained international popularity.
In 2021, she made her debut in motion pictures with the role of ‘Gamze’ in the film ‘Benden Ne Olur-What Happens to Me’.
Besides acting, Afacan continues to participate in theater productions, performing in plays such as Übü Hep Übü, Blu, İsmene, Bir Yaz Gecesi Rüyası, Balkon, Geçmişten Gelen Kadın, Bay Kolpert, and Dolores Claiborne.
Currently, she plays the character of ‘Reyhan’ in the series ‘Seni Kalbime Sakladım-I Hid You in My Heart’, which is airing on TRT 1 screens.
