Tilly’s fifth novel, “A Taste of Heaven” (2013), marked a departure from her usual darker themes. The narrative explores the humorous, bittersweet, and melodramatic trials of tweenhood through the friendship of two young girls. The novel garnered recognition, being shortlisted for the 2014 Libris Young Reader Book of the Year and winning the 2014/2015 Chocolate Lilly Award.
