Abigail Miriam Dauermann, professionally known as Abby Wilde, is an accomplished American actress and singer recognized for her portrayal of Stacey Dillsen in popular Nickelodeon shows such as “Zoey 101,” “iCarly,” and “Sam & Cat.”
Born in San Francisco, California, on February 25, 1989, Abby Wilde was given the name Abigail Miriam Dauermann by her Messianic Jewish parents.
Wilde’s journey into the entertainment world began at the age of 12 when she, alongside her brothers, enrolled in acting classes at their local YMCA branch. Since then, she has showcased her talents in various theatrical productions, including plays, Shakespearean performances, opera concerts, one-act play festivals, and musicals, both in New York City and Los Angeles.
In 2006, Wilde landed a recurring role as Stacey Dillsen on Nickelodeon’s hit series “Zoey 101.” Initially intended for just one episode, her remarkable performance led to her becoming a frequent guest on the show, appearing in a total of 31 episodes between 2006 and 2008. She also starred in several made-for-television films associated with the series.
Expanding her repertoire, Wilde ventured into full-length feature films, starring alongside Alexandra Paul in her debut film, “Family of Four,” in 2009. She continued to portray the character of Stacey Dillsen in subsequent Nickelodeon shows such as “iCarly” (2009–2011) and “Sam & Cat” (2013).
In 2019, Wilde participated in an impromptu reunion with her “Zoey 101” castmates, sparking speculation about a series reboot. This eventually led to the announcement of a sequel film titled “Zoey 102,” with production beginning in 2023 and featuring the original series cast.
Alongside her screen ventures, Wilde has been an active member of the theater community, notably with the Antaeus Theatre Company in Los Angeles. She has portrayed various roles in classical and contemporary plays, showcasing her versatility and range as an actress.
Wilde’s involvement in theater extends beyond traditional performances, as she has collaborated with organizations like Turn to Flesh Productions in New York City, contributing to the development of new verse plays that offer vibrant roles for women and underrepresented individuals in classical art.
Additionally, Wilde co-hosted the Shakespeare-inspired podcast “Pith and Moment” from 2015 to 2016 and is currently engaged in developing several other podcasts and audio dramas.
