- On March 17, 2020, amid the COVID-19 pandemic, De Leon revealed that he had been diagnosed with COVID-19. Despite being asymptomatic and not having contact with any COVID-19 carriers, he successfully recovered from the disease and was discharged from the hospital on March 24.
