Interesting Facts About Miko Hughes
Hughes was born in Apple Valley, California, to parents Mary and John Hughes. His father, not to be confused with the late director John Hughes of “Breakfast Club” fame, worked as a special effects technician. He has three older half-siblings named Mike, Mitch, and Molly.
With English and Chickasaw ancestry, Hughes began his acting career at a remarkably tender age of just 22 months, appearing in a public service announcement, followed shortly by his debut in a feature film at the age of five months.
Throughout his childhood, Hughes was one of the busiest young actors in Hollywood, starring in a plethora of films such as “Jack the Bear” alongside Danny DeVito, “Pet Sematary,” “Kindergarten Cop,” “Wes Craven’s New Nightmare,” “Apollo 13,” “Spawn,” “Zeus and Roxanne,” and “Mercury Rising” alongside Bruce Willis.
Additionally, Hughes has graced television screens in various capacities, including his notable recurring role as Aaron Bailey on the popular series “Full House” from 1990 to 1995. He has also made appearances in acclaimed shows like “Baywatch,” “Sister Kate,” “Beverly Hills, 90210,” “Melrose Place,” “Touched by an Angel,” and “The Nanny.”
Hughes received recognition for his voice-over work, earning an Emmy Award certificate for voicing Tommy in the top-rated Fox animated series “Life with Louie” in 1995. He also lent his voice to twin babies Sly and Witt in the feature film “Baby Geniuses” in 1999.
After a brief hiatus from acting, Hughes returned to the screen as a teenager in the science-fiction series “Roswell,” portraying a villainous character aligned with a renegade group of aliens.
Beyond acting, Hughes showcased his musical talents by releasing two albums at the age of nine in 1995, titled “Miko Hughes” and “Halloween Haunts,” where he wrote songs for both albums and released them under his own company, Little Chief Inc.
In 2013, Hughes ventured into directing, helming the segment “See” in the horror anthology film “Chilling Visions: 5 Senses of Fear,” further showcasing his multifaceted talents and creative prowess.
